PROSEU Webinar on Prosumers in the EU Clean Energy Package and future national plans

The PROSEU Webinar on "Prosumers in the EU Clean Energy Package and future national plans – What is key in 2018 and beyond?" took place on 18 September 2018. It was attended by over 50 participants, who actively asked questions to the speakers between the different presentations.

The project as well as the event was introduced by Giorgia Rambelli from ICLEI Europe. The first speaker was Marta Toporek from ClientEarth, who briefly introduced the EU Renewable Energies directive. She was followed by Dirk Vansintjan representing RESCoop Europe, who highlighted the importance of a good definition of energy communities in EU legislation and gave some practical examples from his network's work. The next presentation, by Kristian Petrick from eco-union, was entitled "Prosumers - How to define objectives and trajectories?". Two representatives from European NGOs working in this area briefly presented the work of their organisations: Arianna Vitali Roscini from CAN Europe and Klaus Röhrig from WWF. At the end Sebastian Bechtel from ClientEarth gave insights on "How to get involved in the drafting of NECPs".
